-Age 41. Lives in Mt. Pleasant, SC with his son Geer (age 7). Graduated from Wofford College in 1990 with a BA in Philosophy. Former occupations: Orvis fly shop manager (1992-94) and purchasing agent for Scout Boats (1995). Hobbies: bass fishing, snowboarding, golf.

Years of Professional Fishing

-15 years as a full-time inshore saltwater guide, 8 years competing in ESPN's Redfish Cup, IFA Redfish Tour, and various other pro level redfish tournaments.

Pro Angling Career Highlights

-Winning the 2009 Kemah, TX Redfish Cup event with a whopping 18.55# day one and 17.52# day 3!

-Winning the 2006 O’boy! Oberto Redfish Cup event in Clearwater, FL by 5.99 pounds!

-Qualifying for the original Redfish Cup All Stars.

-Breakthrough year in 2005 with back-to-back Redfish Cup top 5’s including a 3^rd in Chalmette, LA and a 5^th in Lake Charles, LA.

-Topped off an outstanding rookie season with 6^th place finish in the 2003 Redfish Cup team of the year standings and a 7^th place finish in the 2003 Redfish Cup Championship.

-Consistently above average Redfish Cup record includes 7 top 10’s, 4 top 5’s and 2 big wins, since 2003.

-Top 10 finishes in 3 South Carolina IFA Redfish Tour events including 2nd in 2008.

Media Highlights

-Featured on ESPN2, OLN, FoxSports, Versus, CSS, SunSports, and the Outdoor Channel, in various fishing shows, including: Oh boy! Oberto Redfish Cup, Inshore Angler, In-Fisherman and Tarpon Bay Tales and others. Helped film an episode of Walkers Cay Chronicles with Flip Pallot in 1999.

-Co-host of Carolina Wild Side, a hunting/fishing show currently airing on Comcast C2.

-Has written for and been featured in many national and regional publications, including: Redfish Nation, FLW Outdoors, Sport Fishing, Shallow Water Angler, Fly Fishing in Salt Waters, Fly Fish America, Sporting Classics, In-Fisherman, SC Game and Fish, SC Sportsman, Tide and others.
